Sam Adams Octoberfest 2008 - Boston, MA

Kerri and I headed up to Boston on Friday.  The day was super awesome!  We had lots of fun walking around.  The only thing that wasn't cool was the weather: hot and humid...  Our main purpose was to attend the Sam Adams Octoberfest VIP event at Park Plaza's Castle.  We booked a room right across the street for the night because we knew that there would be lots of beer to be consumed ;p

The Castle at Park Plaza where the night's festivities would be held.

A view from our hotel room...it's still boggles my mind how there are full blown trees growing on rooftops

A church on Newbury Street, coincedentally there was a film crew filming something in the church

Another shot of the Castle

Woot!! My VIP bracelet for the event

This has got to be my favorite picture of the entire trip.  It's me (on the left) with the founder of Sam Adams beer, Jim Koch (on the right).  Jim was a very nice celeb of sorts.  He gave a toast and then hung around for meets and greets...

Overall this was a super awesome event to attend.  We met a lot of really nice folks and made a few new friends.  The beer was crazy good, straight from the tap and a few limited event only brews were consumed, like Helles and Smoked Dunkel Weiss.  Both were great!!  We can't wail until next year!!!
